Can my child be baptized?
We believe in baptism is a joyful step taken by those who have personally chosen to follow Jesus. Because of this, we practice believer’s baptism, which means baptism is offered when a person is old enough to understand the meaning of salvation and make their own decision to place their faith in Christ.
For children who are not yet at that stage, we lovingly offer child dedication. During a dedication, parents present their child before God and the church family, committing to raise them in a Christ-centered home, while the church commits to support and pray for that child as they grow.
When a child reaches an age where they can understand the gospel and personally express faith in Jesus, we joyfully walk with them in preparation for baptism.
If you have questions or would like to talk about child dedication or baptism, our Pastors and Elders would be honored to connect with you and your family.
